TUCK STEPS UP TO GTE WITH TF SPORT AND ASTON MARTIN FOR 2023!
GT driver Ben Tuck will be stepping up to the next level for 2023 as he embarks on a new challenge with 2022 24 Hours of Le Mans winners and World Endurance Championship champions, TF Sport, at the wheel of their Aston Martin Vantage GTE. After a building his career racing BMW machinery since 2018, Ben is seeking fresh success with an all-British team and crew in the prestigious European Le Mans Series (ELMS). He’ll complete the already established line-up of Aston Martin factory ace Jonny Adam, and seasoned racer John Hartshorne.
For Tuck, the move comes after spending the last 4 years with German GT experts, Walkenhorst Motorsport where he has been competing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) in the GT3 Pro class for last two years, taking his maiden GT3 win in 2021 and following up with a podium in 2022. In addition to the NLS, Bedfordshire based Tuck also competed in the inaugural DTM Trophy Series for GT4 machines in 2020, dominating the first ever race at Spa and ending the championship in 3rd position as the highest placed BMW driver with a win and 4 podiums under his belt.
Ben is relishing this new challenge: “On the whole this is going to be a very different experience for me; new car with the Aston Martin GTE, new tracks, a new championship, and I really cannot wait to get started. I’m seriously looking forward to the 2023 season!”
Although a new team for Ben, they are not altogether unfamiliar, Ben explained: “I’ve known about TF Sport since I raced in British GT in 2018 and followed their progress throughout the years knowing that they’re one of best GT Teams around. I’m really excited to be joining such an experienced and successful team and I’m really looking forward to where this season leads on to for the future.”
Together the trio make a strong crew and TF Sport’s Director, Tom Ferrier is equally excited about the 2023 season: “I’m delighted to have Ben Tuck join the TF Sport family! He is a great young talent and is a superb addition to this line up.”
