Ben Tuck Racing Driver Performance Coach
Ben is a qualified Performance Coach with a BSc Sports Psychology and Coaching Sciences and has several years of coaching experience at all levels, from novice upwards. He has extensive experience of developing his clients and team-mates performance, arming them with the skills and confidence to get the very best out of their machinery enabling them to be able to consistently make improvements for the benefit of the entire team.
Ben has been able to successfully assist his clients and team mates to develop techniques to mentally prepare for race weekends and focus on high pressure situations to help get the very best performances possible. He has helped clients and team-mates enhance race craft and to get the best from data analysis as well as to develop mechanical sympathy, understanding their car and developing a feel for its condition and behaviour, helping to reduce damage and wear and tear during races, particularly important during endurance races.
Ben has also extensively supported team-mates and clients, not only during race weekends, but also on track and test days, both in car and trackside, and in the simulator allowing track familiarisation, mental focus training, concentration, and vision techniques.
Ben can identify strengths and weaknesses and then develop tailor-made tuition plans to fit specific requirements, from a single day to a regular programme of training. He has been able to help clients and team-mates become more confident and consistent across the full range of skills from basic methods to advanced techniques.
My ambition is to be the best, to do whatever it takes – to work harder, to learn faster, to listen harder, to think quicker and to take every possible opportunity to pursue a top flight career in the motorsport industry.
I have learned that to maximise the return on any investment, to get the best out of people and equipment, it takes hard work and dedication.
